Diagnostics simply explained: your garage is like your GP — we are the specialists you call when the fault needs further investigation.
What to expect
1. Book your appointment
Arrange your booking and pay your deposit through Ursula in the office.
2. Diagnostic visit
I will travel to your vehicle and carry out a professional diagnostic session, with prices starting from £85 (see our pricing page for full details).
Your diagnostic appointment may include:

• Confirming the customer’s reported fault.
• A visual inspection of the affected system.
• A full diagnostic scan of the vehicle.
• Analysing the fault codes and live data.
• Testing wiring, sensors and components where accessible.

Please note that some components cannot be fully tested during the initial visit due to their location or the time required to gain access.
After the diagnosis
Once the fault has been identified, one of the following will happen:

• A diagnostic report will be provided, detailing the failed component(s), which can be supplied to your chosen garage for repair.
• We carry out the repair immediately if:
  • it can be completed during the appointment,
  • no additional parts are required, and
  • sufficient time is available.
• Any repair work is charged at our standard hourly labour rate.
• A return visit will be arranged if replacement parts or additional time are required.

An invoice will then be issued and is payable immediately upon completion of the visit.
