FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. WHY DO YOU CHARGE £10 FOR A WIRING DIAGRAM?
we have to pay £3000 per year to access the vehicle wiring diagrams which are all online thus we have to pass on a fraction of the cost per job hence the £10
2. WHY DO YOU CHARGE £55/HOUR FOR CARS AND £75 for camper conversions?
Ok firstly the £55 has been worked out from years of experience in the trade and the use of the latest equipment which is very expensive to buy,so an element of the cost has been added to allow for upgrades and development.
The £75 for campers is that everything is now very difficult to get to due to cupboards, units, beds and glued down carpeting everywhere, this makes any installation and fault finding very difficult and time consuming to carry out and a lot of planning before hand is needed before any work is done
This has to be allowed for in the final price.
3. WHY DO YOU CHARGE A DEPOSIT?
Unfortunately there seems to be a lot of "no shows" where customers do not turn up or we travel to their address and they are not at home.
This results in a lot of wasted time for us when we could have booked in another job, so we feel its only fair that are time and expences are covered for this wasted time and wear and tear on our van.so a small deposit is now charged between £25 and £55 or the cost of expensive parts and the deposit.
4. WHY DO YOU CHARGE US FOR MILEAGE?
We are a fully mobile service so our vehicle has to be maintained to the highest standards and with the cost of maintenance and fuel so high this has to be factored into the price
on top of that the amount of time wasted trying to get to a job due to traffic and road closures has to be allowed for thus the mileage charge.
you can of course come to cirencester and just pay a flat rate of £10
5.WHY DO YOU NEED TWO TRIPS TO CUT A KEY?
The key production is carried out in two stages. stage one is to plug into the vehicle to make sure the new key can be programmed and to get the security code and key cutting code from the key itself.
This information is then used to produce a new matched key with the correct cuts and electronics inside which is sent to us by our locksmiths.
Stage two is to program and test the key in the vehicle,so two trips are needed to supply and code a new key.
